We are excited to announce that Friday, October 3rd from 9-10 AM in DiMare Center room N1-1500 we will be hosting a town hall with Representative Jim McGovern to speak out against funding cuts to biomedical research.

Our goal with this event is to emphasize the importance of federal science funding by presenting testimonials from students and postdocs, as well as demonstrate how many people in our community are impacted by these cuts. We want funding for research to be one of Rep. McGovern’s top priorities as Congress decides on the federal budget for the coming year.

We urge everyone on campus to attend if you are able! Your presence will show Rep. McGovern how substantial the impact of budget cuts are and stress the need to fund the life-saving and innovative research happening at UMass Chan. Please RSVP if you plan to attend using this link.

Coffee and other refreshments will be provided!
